Also well done to our ladies who finished second. 5 Ciara Martin, 6 Maria murphy, 7 Caoimhe Foley and 9 Irene Henebry

Dec16 At the all-Ireland cross-country in Dungarvan James Maher took 2nd place in the under 13 race, continuing with a similar achievement of taking silver in last year's under 12 final. He was also first scorer on the second placed Leinster team. His brother Pat ran a superb race to win silver with the county under 11 team. Another silver medal winner was Eamon O'Connor who finished 15 th in boys under 17. Eamon has had a good year and will still be eligible to run under 17 again next year. Eamon Everard made up a lot of ground on the last lap of the men's novice to finish 6th. Our best performer in the ladies novice was Ciara Martin who finished 15th.

Dec 2 Thomas Hayes ran well in the County novice in Kilmacow and was rewarded with first place. Niall Quinlan 5th, Eamon Marnell 8th and Eddie Hawe in 13th put the team in 2nd place on 27 points.

Nov 25 The Curragh proved a very testing course for club athletes today. Congratulations to all who took part and completed their races. The under 14 boys was our best juvenile team on the day .Well done (James Maher, Cormac Everard, Diarmuid Cody, Conor Mahon and Nicholas Dunphy). Eamon O'Connor 11th under 16 and Ciara Everard 5th under 18 won all-Ireland medals with the Leinster teams. Nov 11 Once again our athletes showed their class winning 25 Leinster medals at the Uneven ages Cross country in Heywood, Laois .

Our under 11 teams did well despite having a number with very little experience of cc running. The boys were 6th with Pat Maher in excellent form. he finished 17th , the fourth scorer on the winning county team

James Maher, Pat's brother, had an individual bronze after a tough battle and he was the firstto score on the county team. In the girls race Cliodhna Manning with a strong finish made it into 12th place to clinch a place on the Leinster team.

Our under 15 girls were 4th with Maeve Keane and Orla McPhillips doing exceptionally well coming 17th and 18th and winning bronze medals with the county team. The boys were the class act. A good solid performance from all four(Daniel Farrell 14th, Conor O'Shea 17th, Cormac Everard 21st and Diarmuid Cody 29th ) saw them win silver with the first three also winning bronze with the county team.

Naomi NiChleirigh was our sole under 17 girl and she ran well to finish 25th and win bronze with the county. The boys were fifth club but with all scoring on the bronze winning county team they will all be in action again in the nationals. (Eamon O'Connor 7th, Conor Hogan 22nd, George Allen 28th and Peter English 33rd)

Our under 19 finishers had a fine day out with Maria Murphy taking 4th place in the girls race and leading the county to gold. Thomas Hayes was comfortable in 6th and Niall Quinlan was 12th, both getting on the Leinster team as well as winning gold with the county team.

Oct 28 There were many excellent performances at the Leinsters even ages in Avondale, Co Wicklow.

Pat Maher, scored on the winning under 12 County team. Anna Sheehan, 50th, scored on the county team which came 7th.

Our under 14 boys finished second with James Maher 3rd, Cormac Everard, Diarmuid Cody, Conor Mahon and Nicholas Dunphy. The girls won bronze. Cliodhna Manning had a fine run to come 8th. Megan O'Keeffe, Niamh Tuohy, Tara Hogan and Sinead McDonough were the other members of the team

The under 16 boys had the same points as the 3rd placed team but lost out on countback. (Eamon O'Connor 3rd, George Allen 10th, Daniel Farrell and michael Lanigan ) A great team effort. An equally fine effort from the girls brought them bronze medals. Maeve Keane 10th, Orla McPhillips, Naomi Ni Chleirigh, Megan Paybody and Sarah Nolan were the team.

Our sole representative in the under 18 races was a superb Ciara Everard who led from gun to chute.

Oct 14 County uneven ages in Castlecomer. Boys under 7 had Dara Maher 1st and Joe Lacey 4th.The under 11 girls with Kate Crotty in 6th place won silver. the under 11 boys with Pat Maher leading them in in 5th place won bronze. Naomi took the bronze in the under 17 girls and Eamon had a great battle before winning the boys under 17. The under 19 boys came up trumps with James Duncan arriving to support Toss Hayes, Stephen O'Keeffe, and Niall Quinlan. Three more points secured and THE BISHOPS SHIELD BACK WITH THE CLUB FOR ANOTHER YEAR. WELL DONE EVEYONE.
